Matt Pierce has over 20 years of retained search experience focused on C-level assignments. Matt leads engagements in many industries including Consumer Products, Healthcare, Technology, Manufacturing, Professional Services. Matt has a particular expertise in recruiting CFOs. During Matt’s search career he has interviewed thousands of executives and has developed a keen ability to attract and assess talent for his clients.
Matt's experience includes working with a wide range of ownership structures including, Partnerships, SEC registrants, Private equity, Venture capital backed and Closely held companies. Matt advises CEOs, Owners and Boards in searches on a wide variety of business situations including rapid growth, transformations, turnarounds, IPO preparation, start-ups and succession. Matt has advised companies during changing economic times by recruiting executives with value creation skills appropriate for the business challenges in front of them.
Matt has also been a member of the Board of Directors in two venture backed companies. His advice is sought by clients for his business judgement and knowledge in the talent acquisition function in high growth companies.
Prior to founding BridgeStreet Partners in 2007, Matt was the Financial Officer Practice Leader at A.T. Kearney Executive Search (the 7th largest global search firm) and the Co-leader of the High-Tech practice. Matt has held senior-level financial positions with public companies and was in the Assurance Practice at Ernst & Young LLP where he held CPA and CMA designations. Matt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
